Big Change of Plans

For the past 9 months I have been basically living on auto pilot as far as making permanent decisions. We were under contract to buy the townhouse we're living in, but we had to keep extending our contract because the units weren't FHA approved. We were waiting for the HOA to get the paper work done. Finally in January we decided to cancel our contract and look for a house to buy in the area. We had our realtor find us listings that matched our criteria, we went and looked at a few homes, but nothing was appealing to us. Out of the blue in February, Jesse was contacted by Amazon in Seattle to interview for a job. We thought that maybe this is why we haven't bought a house yet. A move to Seattle would have been very fun, but unfortunately Jesse didn't get a job offer.

So here we are back at square one about what to do about housing. We both have felt that Heavenly Father wants us to wait on buying a house for now. I have been very discouraged. I want to have a house, a backyard and be somewhere permanent. We thought of looking in Seattle again for a job, but I have had a nagging feeling that I need to go back to school.

I am currently 1 class away from getting my Associates. From a very young age I have wanted to be a nurse that gets to take care of babies. Jesse and I (along with guidance from Heavenly Father) have decided that now is the time for me to go back and get my RN. I have to take a few classes in the Fall before I can apply for the nursing program at UVU. If I get in to the program, it will be 3 years from now that I will be done. This means lots of time going to school and doing the necessary things to graduate. It'll be like having a full-time job. I am so excited (and a little nervous) about taking this next step in life.

I disappeared for over a year now, but I am excited to be back!

Here are some of the milestones you've missed:

~Jesse turned 30 in July!
~Jesse and I celebrated 8 years of wedded bliss in August!
~Lilly started Kindergarten (she has THE best teacher!) in August!
~Jesse and I were called to THE best calling in the Church, Nursery!
~We went to visit Christie and Travis in AZ in October. Best time IMO to visit down there!
~Jackson turned 1 in November! I made him a monkey cake.
~Jackson started walking in late December/early January.
~Lilly cleaned her room all by herself!
~We got our first pet, a hamster named Cocoa Puff!
~We got our second pet, a puppy named Bella!
~I turned 30 in April, which wasn't and isn't so bad.
~Lilly turned 6 in April as well and we had a "sweet" party!
~Lilly gave Jackson his first haircut which ended up with him having to get a buzz cut. We have since told her that she is not allowed to give any more haircuts without a license or the police will get her. ;)

That's about it. As Jesse says, "Our life is boring".

5 years ago, the quiet life that Jesse and I were used to dramatically changed for the better. At 2:59 am, after about 15 hours of labor and a week overdue, Lillian Preya made her debut. She was a beautiful baby.



Our lives have been blessed immensely with Lilly apart of it. She has grown into such a sweet little girl. She is constantly making me laugh, Jackson adores her and she and Jesse are like two peas in a pod!
