We decided to start a blog for family and friends to keep up with us!
Last weekend (June 2-4) started out fun with our place getting flooded! Our neighbor upstairs was putting in a dishwasher and forgot to turn off the water in turn ruining parts of our ceiling and getting our carpet wet. He eventually got the water turned off but when he turned it back on water started leaking in our furnace closet from upstairs getting the carpet on the other side of the room wet. Short story, the flooding in the furnace closet was our fault because the condo manager didn't mention that one of the hoses could be clogged (which was the case) but because the clog was in the hose in our unit (the other 2 condos above us and our condo hose are linked to each other and drain in our unit because we are on the bottom) it was our fault.
This all happened on Friday night which was less convenient because Lilly was being blessed on Sunday and we had a million things to do to get ready for the after party. Needless to say the weekend ended nicely (almost) with Lilly being blessed by Jesse and a get together with family and friends. Oh and did I mention that I tripped over Tate and sprained my foot. I got to be lazy for a couple of days and keep off my foot as much as possible which was nice (a big thanks to mom and dad Bahr who generously let me borrow a few movies to keep me entertained!) We just wanted to thank all the family who came out and supported us last weekend. We enjoyed seeing and spending time with everyone. Thanks to mom Carol who spent endless hours on Lilly's beautiful blessing dress and for her and Doug for letting us use their house for the party. Also to "Grandpa Quarter" for putting the additional touch to her blessing outfit with the pretty blessing bracelet.
The rest of the week went by fast. We are in the process of catching up on season two of Lost this summer (Wed. 8 p.m. on ABC). Another thanks to mom and dad Bahr for getting us hooked on Lost! We didn't do anything eventful this week. We did go to D.I. on Saturday and Jesse found a good computer book to help him become certified with Cisco.
That's it for this week! Check back weekly.
