Anniversary, Move-out and School

I know, I haven't updated our blog in a while. Thanks to a concerned fan of our blog, I am finally updating it!

On August 16, Jesse and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We left Lilly with Grandpa and Grandma Bahr for a couple days and headed up to Salt Lake City. We stayed in Midvale in a nice 1 bedroom, living room and two-bath suite. We had dinner at The Roof restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and had an awesome view of the temple.

Since this was our 5 year anniversary I decided to put together a video for Jesse of our wedding story to our favorite songs. Once my laptop is fixed I'll upload the video.

As most of you know, we also had to move out of the condo for a week while we had tile put in the front entrance, living room, kitchen and hall. We had a nice little vacation at Jesse's parents house. Jesse was able to have his own office to work from home in so he didn't have to travel down to Provo everyday. Lilly got to chase Pinky and Sox (Jesse wasn't sure if it was Sox or Socks) around all day. I'm allergic to the cats and did pretty well thanks to Benadryl.

I started reading Twilight and have actually loved it so far. I know some people aren't fans of this series, but honestly this series shouldn't be being compared to Harry Potter. I've seen articles hailing Stephenie Meyers to be the next J.K. Rowlings. Come on people. These are two different ladies with two different writing styles and each is unique. As for the controversy over the final book in the series, I say to you GET OVER IT! I haven't read it yet and don't know the exact details of the "offensive" scene, but have heard that it IS between a married couple. I don't think this is sending ANY negativity towards the youth who read this. What married couple doesn't do "those" things. At least the scene was between a married couple and not just two horny unwed teenagers. Anyway, that's my two cents.

I'll probably only be able to get through the first book before the movie comes out due to school starting. Yes, this summer break has been fantastic, but I'm ready to get back into our busy life. This is especially exciting since this is the last time Jesse will have to start school after the summer break (unless he gets a Master's). I am taking two classes online and two classes on campus. The classes that are on campus are Saturday classes, so I'll be gone from 8-2 every Saturday. I'd rather do Saturday classes than weekday night classes. My online classes are computer related. Jesse's fine knowledge in CS will help me through those classes. As far as Jesse's schedule goes, he will basically be working around 20 hours per week and taking classes the rest of the time. His schedule is worked out so that he can go to work before school and be able to come home from school and focus on studying. I'm so glad he has an awesome boss that allows him so much flexibility with his job during school.
