A Trick or a Treat?

Lilly's favorite holiday for sure is Halloween. No surprise since Jesse LOVES Halloween. Pretty much every day after she and Jesse put up the Halloween decorations, she asked "is Halloween yet?". Deciding on a costume was fun. She kept telling us that she wanted to be a princess (Cinderella or Aurora) AND pirate. While we were at D.I. one day Lilly found a witch hat that had an orange trim around it. We bought it for a dollar and decided to dress her up as a witch. I found a dress on eBay for $4.00 and bought black tights at Kid to Kid for 50 cents. We had some issues with the hat though. I didn't realize that it was an adult size hat until a few days before Halloween. We had to go out and find a child size hat, which thankfully we did at Target and it was on clearance for $1.25. I went to Michaels and got some orange ribbon and glued it around the rim of the hat. So after less than $10.00 we had a cute little witch on our hands. She had a blast trick-or-treating with daddy, since mommy had homework to do.

We also took advantage of Targets clearance costumes and got her one for next year.
