What I've Learned In Such A Short Amount of Time
Yesterday I said goodbye to Jesse. Normally when we say goodbye it's because he is leaving for work or school and will be back in a few hours. Well this goodbye was for 3 days while he helps move his sister Christie to Arizona. In our almost 5 years of marriage this is the first time we've been apart for a long period of time. I was sad to see him go, but know that he'll be back sooner than later. What I didn't realize is how much sleeping alone in a big bed stinks. I tossed and turned for a couple hours and finally woke Lilly up and put her in bed with me thinking that as long as there was another body in bed with me I'd be alright. WRONG!!! For the next hour she proceeded to grab the skin on my arm and kick me. I finally put her back in her bed and by then she was awake and was crying. I made her cry herself back to sleep and after 5 minutes worth of prayers she fell back asleep. In the end I got about 4 hours of sleep and thankfully have plenty of energy today. The thing I've learned from this experience is that if Jesse ever has to go away for a night again, I'm going with him. I am so used to snuggling with him in order to fall asleep. For those (Shari in particular) who have had their husbands away for more than one night at a time, I feel for you. Besides the lonely sleeping, Lilly and I have been having fun. We bought some crafts for us to do and I am also working on some new things for my redecorating project.
Good news! We made it through this semester!!! We both did really well considering how busy of a semester this was. Lilly gets props for hanging in and putting up with having to watch several movies. Peter Pan has become her favorite movie since Easter (mainly for Tinkerbell). I am taking the summer off, so for the next 4 months I get to rest and relax! Jesse is going for 1 term, so he'll have half the summer off. We don't really have any real big plans for the summer. Most of you know that Jesse's sister Christie is getting married in May, so that's really the biggest event for us, so far. There will be trips to Hogle Zoo and maybe Park City and then lots of visits to our pool here at the condo.

Karina,
I feel for you. When Kevan is gone on trips I have a very hard time going to bed. I stay up way to late and then I am tired when it is time to take care of everyone by myself. I try to call him at night and just talk before I go to bed if I can, it helps but usually there is a time zone problem and he is already asleep when it is my turn. Well hopefully you won't have to many nights alone in your future. We have a great guest room with its own bathroom, if you wanted to spend some of your summer outside of Utah. Lilly really should get to know Livvy since she is the cousin closest in age to her.
Love Shari
SUMMERTIME FUN!!!
