Having Some Fun
Time off from school has been very enjoyable thus far. Jesse had an unexpected opportunity at work and has decided not to get a math minor and will be working full-time this summer instead. He decided to forgo the minor when his adviser at BYU told him that a math minor is nice to have, but not necessary. He will still graduate in April 2009 as scheduled, but will be gaining more experience in his field by working full-time over the summer.
Lilly has been enjoying the oodles of mommy and daddy time every day. We took her to the library the other day and checked out about 15 books for her. She loves mommy reading to her at night. When the weather is nice enough outside, we take her out and she plays and has so much fun. She recently discovered the coolness of birds. She tries to call the birds to come to her, but obviously that doesn't work. She has also become fixated on firetrucks lately. If she's in her bedroom during nap time and she hears one, she'll tell me all about the sounds she heard it make.
Jesse and I have done some rearranging in the condo. We decided to make the front room into a living room/dining room only. And have made the computer room/craft room into a computer/craft/tv room. It is working out really well and I LOVE the colors in the front room. The red was too dark in here, so the green really brightens up the place. The "Families Are Forever" wall hanging was done using my Cricut. I plan on doing lots more with my Cricut this summer (like 5 years worth of scrapbooking).
Here are several pictures I've taken this year, but haven't had the time to post.
