Our summer so far has been fairly uneventful. A couple of days before Christie's wedding, our car started leaking antifreeze. The last time we had a bad hose we ended up paying a couple hundred dollars to get it repaired, but since Jesse isn't in school right now, he thought he'd try to fix it himself. Thank goodness he did, cause it got fixed and it cost us less than $50 to fix it.


Lilly's hair has finally gotten long enough to be put up into pigtails. She actually likes getting her hair done and rarely takes the pigtails out. She is LOVING Nursery. Every time we go in to get her, she's running around playing with the bubbles (they do bubble time at the end of nursery every week). Her words are becoming more clearer everyday (even though she's still binky attached). She is into Princess Aurora right now. Her latest cute thing she does is going around singing Happy Birthday song. We don't know where she picked it up, but it's super cute.



In May Lilly got to meet her Great Grandmom Kane and Great Aunt Karen from New Jersey for the first time. Grandmom brought her a stuffed puppy and she named it Pinky The Dog (in reference to Mom and Dad's cat Pinky). She loves that dog so much that she makes sure it's in her crib every time she goes to sleep.

















Christie and Travis's wedding was spectacular. It's always neat to be apart of other people's weddings, but when it's family, it makes it that more special. They're living in Arizona and since we're missing Christie being around, it's nice that we can play Super Smash Bros. with her and Travis over the Wii Wi-Fi connection every now and then.

Speaking of Wii, we recently traded in a couple of our games for Wii Fit. Can I just tell you how awesome this is!!! I have only been doing it for the last week and have lost almost 2 lbs. Lilly actually has fun doing some of the balancing games.


I have been enjoying the time off from school. I have been trying to do more reading. I started with For One More Day. This was such an incredible story. It's a pretty quick read which was great for me since I have limited time to read with my two year old. I then read The Lovely Bones. I actually liked this book, but wouldn't recommend it to the faint of heart. It has a few graphic situations in it. I am currently reading the first Harry Potter book. I know, it's taken me over 8 years to do so, but I am and I LOVE it so far.
