I had to post this picture of Lilly. She is such a ham. If memory serves me right, my niece Jessica used to make this same face. And Lilly also does the arms stretched out behind the back thing like Jess used to do while making this face. No clues where she picked this up.

Jesse and I are back in school after the shortest break in the history of college holiday breaks. We got off to a rocky start heading back to school. First our car broke down the night before Jesse was supposed to start school. We had it towed to the dealership where it sat for 4 days before getting fixed. Lucky for us, Jesse's parents let us borrow the Firebird. It snowed really hard over those 4 days so Jesse had quite the experience in driving to work and school. Over $500 later we finally got our car back. Then the next day our dryer broke. We decided that it would be a worthwhile investment just to buy a brand new washer and dryer and take them with us when we move in a year or so. We went to RC Willey, picked them out immediately and thanks again to Jesse's parents, got free delivery. I LOVE the washer and dryer. The washer is SO much quieter than the old one. The only downfall to the dryer is the loud buzzer, but we figure we'll put up with it for a year and when we have a house it won't be so bad.

This will be Jesse's last semester. It's kind of sad to see this phase of our life pass us, but I am very excited to move on with our lives. Jesse is doing a capstone project this semester and is adapting his maze game for special hardware designed for disabled people. The hardware is called Eagle Eyes and it uses muscle movement in the face to access computers. He is also taking 3 classes. This semester I am taking Beginning Japanese. So far so good. Since the only other language I know is French, my pronunciation of Japanese words sound more French than Japanese, but with practice I'll get it. I still need to take a math class over the summer, but will be done with my associates degree by August.

Speaking of August, we just registered Lilly for preschool. She'll start in August. She is going to Learning Dynamics Preschool out in Saratoga Springs. Jesse's mom teaches there, so that was a major draw to have her out at that school in case of an emergency. Plus I'll be able to see Debra and Kari more often. She'll go twice a week and from what Jesse's mom said there is already more than 1 Lilly in her class.

Lilly just gets more grown up every day. Her latest phase is asking us to take her to Disneyland. Maybe next year. She has also been telling us that she is having a princess party this year and she wants a castle cake and Aurora, Lukie and Joe to come. She also has requested that Santa be there, but we explained that Santa is on vacation and only brings her presents once a year. She is also speaking a new language. I call it Lillanese. Like I said, she's a ham.
